Drishyam Franchise Remake To Be In Korea: Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer ‘Drishyam’ has got another big success. Now ‘Drishyam’ franchise is going to step abroad along with the country. Very soon this best movie series will be remade in South Korea. This is a great honor for an Indian film.
Announced at Cannes Film Festival
It has now been decided to make an official remake of the ‘Drishyam’ movie franchise in the South Korean language. This was announced at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival in France. However, some changes will also be made in this movie for South Korean viewers. Indian production company Panorama Studios and Anthology Studios of Warner Bros’ ex-local Korean head Jay Choi have agreed for this remake. With this, ‘Parasite’ actor Song Kang-ho and director Kim Ji-woon have partnered for the Korean remake.
Kumar Mangat expressed happiness
Expressing his happiness, film producer Kumar Mangat said, ‘I am quite excited that the Drishyam’ franchise is being made in Korean. This is the first Hindi film which is going to be made in Korean. Hindi cinema will get a strong identity at the world level with this movie. Although for the past many years we have been inspired by Korean movies, and now they have also been inspired by one of our movies. What can be a bigger achievement for the Indian film fraternity.
Jay Choi is also excited
On this occasion, Jay Choi also got excited and said, ‘We are thrilled to remake a widely successful Hindi film while retaining the originality of Korean cinema. This remake has more importance as the first major co-production between Korea and India. Through our partnership, we will be able to bring the best of both Indian and Korean cinema to the screen and create a meaningful remake that is as brilliant as the original film.’

The first part of ‘Drishyam’ was directed by director Nishikant Kamat. Ajay Devgn and Tabu played the main roles in this movie. The story of the movie revolves around ‘Vijay Salgaonkar’ i.e. Ajay Devgan, who has an incident in his normal life. After which his whole world disintegrates. He goes as far as he can to save his family.
